WHAT IF I STILL HAVE MY WISDOM TEETH?

This is also a case-by-case answer. As a general rule, if your wisdom teeth are straight and have already erupted in your mouth, you have more chance of keeping them. Keep in mind that orthodontic treatments, whether with braces or aligners, is about space management. If you are already lacking space, to solve your crowding, you can't accommodate that many teeth. That said, it will be up to your attending to ask for the removal of your wisdom teeth or not.

In the case that your wisdom teeth are not out yet or are horizontally positioned, chances are that they are pushing against the rest of your teeth. In that case, they will have to be pulled out, not for the space they take but because of the negative pressure they are causing on the rest of the teeth.

The only case where the wisdom teeth are too close to the nerve and that the risks of surgery outweigh the benefits, those cases will have to be monitored closely with your attending. Unfortunately, no 2 cases are alike here, so without a specific consultation and x-rays, it won't be possible to give you a more specific answer.
