WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I LOSE OR BREAK MY TRAY? DO YOU OFFER A REPLACEMENT?

TROUBLE SHOOTING From DIGITAL ORTHODONTICS - Solo Edition by Dr. Bak Nguyen

The first thing to do is to contact your attending. Usually, if you have in hand the next set, it will be to move forward and to compensate in time so your body will not be traumatized with too much pressure. Moving back to the previous stage is also an option.

In the second case, that will mean that your attending will have to order a replacement that usually will come with extra fees unless you bought a protection package offered by some providers.

In 17 years plus of experience, this happens more often than I wish it has. That said, with good communication, I rarely had to order replacements nor to charge my patients any extra, for as long as we had in hand the next set of aligners.

Of course, what we are saving in money will cost in time units to compensate for the extra pressure applied to the teeth. That said, everyone was pretty happy to resolve the issue without further complications. The few cases in which I had to order replacements are the ones where my patients lost more than one aligner.

The system is working. The system is efficient. The system can be smooth unless you are breaking the boundaries. Losing your aligners is stepping right on the boundaries. If that was an accident and happened once, your attending will take care of it, hopefully smoothly and without extra fees.

Push the system further to its breaking point, well, you won't have results and are in to spend even more, more time and money. Please help us to help you!
