CAN I SEE BEFORE AND AFTER OF MY TEETH?

CAN I SEE BEFORE AND AFTER OF MY TEETH?

EXPECTATIONS From DIGITAL ORTHODONTICS - Solo Edition by Dr. Bak Nguyen

Absolutely, that’s the beauty of this technology. Once your mouth is scanned and digitalized, your attending can now work in your virtual mouth and move your teeth in that simulated model before working in your mouth.

The cool part of this technology is that you can see your teeth moving from A to Z before starting your journey wearing aligners. To your attending, it is also a tremendous asset to run a simulation of treatment in your mouth. That allows to run, if needed, the alternatives of treatment plan, to test them, and to present you the best course of action.

The simulation is played as an animation of a sequence of images showing you the movement of your teeth from beginning to end. Each image of that sequence is the blueprint to 3D print an aligner. In other words, what you see is pretty much what you will get, if you wear your aligners accordingly.

Your attending will have to manage the difference between the actual response of your teeth compared to the programmed treatment (aligners). That said, if the aligners fit in your mouth, you are pretty close to what is expected. The rest (10-15%) is the fine-tuning phase that will be cared for at refinement. So yes, you can see the mapping and the GPS stage by stage before actually starting the treatment in your mouth.
